Jon Bon Jovi stops a woman from committing suicide on a Nashville bridge

Jon Bon Jovi avoided a tragedy on a bridge on Wednesday Nashville (Tennessee) by persuading a woman, who appeared to be planning to take her own life, to return to safety. The American singer was filming a music video on the Seigenthaler pedestrian bridge.

The moment was captured on video, initially posted by police on YouTube but later removed. The footage showed a woman in a blue shirt on the other side of the bridge railing, her arms clinging to it. The incident occurred on the Seigenthaler pedestrian bridge, which spans the Cumberland River, according to a message posted by Nashville police on social media site X. Bon Jovi and a video production assistant intervened.

A shout out to Jon Bon Jovi and his crew for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge Tuesday night. Bon Jovi helped coax her down from the edge of the Cumberland River and to safety. “We all need to help each other stay safe,” said Chief John Drake.
