Jokowi’s Weekly Night in Solo, Enjoy the Violin Performance of a Street Musician

7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to enjoy the Sunday night at the night market in the corridor of Jalan Gatot Subroto (Gatsu), Solo City, Central Java. Jokowi enjoyed a violin performance by street musicians at the venue.

Reported detikJatengJokowi arrived around 20.30 WIB, Saturday (26/10/2024). Together with Paspampres, Jokowi came down from Gatsu intersection on Jalan Slamet Riyadi. Jokowi then walked to enjoy the night market in Gatsu Corridor.

People who learned about Jokowi’s arrival immediately tried to get closer to take pictures with them, shaking hands and taking documents about Jokowi’s visit.

After walking several tens of meters, Jokowi’s attention was diverted by the street musician, Arif Fatoni (34). Arif sings the song Can’t Help Falling in Love. Jokowi seemed to like Afif’s appearance.

“I’m sorry, I’m blind, so I didn’t know that Pak Jokowi was watching my performance. But earlier I heard a lot of people shouting, Pak Jokowi,” Arif told detikJateng at the place.

Jokowi then continued to walk along the Gatsu Corridor while the public continued to take pictures. Jokowi then left Gatsu area at around 21.25 WIB.

“It is very busy,” Jokowi told the media team before leaving the Gatsu Corridor.
