General Chairman of the General Manager of the Islamic Students Association (PB HMI) Raihan Ariatama instructed all HMI management throughout Indonesia to maintain solidity. This instruction follows the plan of General Chairman Abdul Muis Amiruddin’s camp to hold a demonstration.
Raihan Ariatama’s instructions are contained in the PB HMI letter Number: 134/A/SEK/12/1442 H which was signed by Raihan Ariatama and Secretary General M Ichya Halimudin, Wednesday (4/8/2021). The letter was addressed to the General Chairperson of Badko HMI in Indonesia and the General Chairperson of HMI Branches throughout Indonesia.
“In connection with the circulation of Instruction Letter Number: 144/A/Sek/12/1442 on behalf of the Executive Board of the Islamic Student Association (PB HMI) under the leadership of Abdul Muis Amiruddin and M. Akbar Hanubun respectively as PJ Chairperson and Secretary General, we hereby instruct Badko HMI and HMI Branches throughout Indonesia and convey the following matters,” the letter read.
PB HMI led by Raihan Ariatama said that HMI had never issued an instruction letter for Jokowi’s demonstration. HMI Raihan’s camp chose to distribute social assistance for people affected by COVID-19.
The following is the instruction from PB HMI led by Raihan Ariatama:
1. The 31st HMI Congress which was held in Surabaya City, East Java Province on March 17-25, 2021 established Raihan Ariatama as Formateur/Chairman, and M. Ichya Halimudin and Abbdul Rabbi Syahrir as Mide Formateur I and Mide, respectively. Formateur II of the Executive Board of the Islamic Student Association (PB HMI) for the period 2021-2023.
2. The HMI Coordinating Board (Badko) and HMI Branches throughout Indonesia maintain solidity under legal and constitutional leadership. The results of the 31st HMI Congress in Surabaya City, East Java Province on March 17-25, 2021, namely the leadership of Raihan Ariatama and M. Ichya Halimudin, respectively as General Chair and Secretary General of PB HMI for the 2021-2023 Period.
3. Instructing Badko HMI and HMI Branches throughout Indonesia to disseminate information regarding the importance of implementing the 3 T (Testing, Tracing, Treatment) and 5 M (Wearing Masks, Keeping Distance, Washing Hands, Avoiding Crowds, Reducing Mobility) and the importance of vaccination as an effort break the chain of spread of Covid-19.
4. Badko HMI and HMI Branches throughout Indonesia to form Covid-19 Handling Volunteers to help people affected by Covid-19.
The news of HMI’s action plan was previously confirmed directly by Acting Chairman Abdul Muis Amiruddin. Abdul Muis’ HMI camp will demonstrate on August 6, 13 and 16, 2021.
“First of all, of course, obey the health protocols,” Abdul Muis Amiruddin told reporters, Wednesday (4/8).
