Designed black and white striped shirt President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) apparently will not necessarily be chosen as a presidential candidate (Bacapres) Ganjar Pranowo while campaigning for the 2024 presidential election. Campaign clothes for Ganjar will await the results of netizens’ voting.
It is known that on July 19 2023, Ganjar introduced his campaign identity shirt, namely a black and white striped shirt. Ganjar stated that the shirt was designed by President Jokowi, who is also a PDIP cadre.
“Pak Jokowi gave me the design of the clothes that I am wearing,” said Ganjar to journalists after the Ganjar Pranowo Volunteer event at the 1 Muharram 1445H Gathering in Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (19/7).
Ganjar said that at that time he met Jokowi on the stage in front of the volunteers. Then, Jokowi gave him a piece of paper. Ganjar said, the piece of paper contained the design of a black and white striped shirt.
“Until finally he (Jokowi) handed me a piece of paper, ‘Mr Ganjar, maybe this is good’,” said Ganjar.
“I looked, I turned around, I came back, and the good thing is this shirt I’m wearing,” he said with a smile. “Even he was very attentive to the details of the shirt so he recommended it for me to wear.”
At this event, Ganjar and the volunteers wore the shirts at the same time. He emphasized the importance of a definite identity, black or white.
“Why black and white? I said that I am not a gray person. When we make a difficult decision, which do you choose? Black or white,” said Ganjar on stage.
During his journey, on October 18 2023, Ganjar opened a ‘poll’ on the types of clothing or outfits he would wear during the campaign. Ganjar will later choose a number of participants with whom he will chat and eat together.
Ganjar shared the poll on his official X account as seen on Wednesday (18/10). Ganjar shared a site containing the poll.
“Hello. I, Ganjar Pranowo, want to hear the voices of all my friends. Friends can determine the clothes I will wear during the activity period by voting #PilihBajuGanjar on the Ganjar writing site.
Ganjar invited netizens to participate in the voting. He said voting closed on October 27.
“For the 20 selected friends, you will have the opportunity to eat and chat together with me. Come on, vote now! Waiting for your friends’ choices until October 27 2023. See you!” he continued.
