TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – The issue of reshuffle (reshuffling) of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet led by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is blowing more and more loudly.
The palace confirmed that the reshuffle would occur in the near future.
This cabinet reshuffle plan emerged after the establishment of the Ministry of Investment and the merger of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) with the Ministry of Research and Technology (Kemenristek).
This is a sign that President Jokowi will overhaul the composition of ministers in his cabinet.
The news of the reshuffle was also acknowledged by one of the experts at the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Ali Mochtar Ngabalin.
“God willing, if nothing gets in the way of these weeks,” said Ngabalin to the media crew, Tuesday (13/4/2021).

Ngabalin also explained why there was a discourse about merging the two ministries.
“Last March 30, a letter was sent to the DPR which contained the plan to merge the Ministry of Research and Technology into the Ministry of Education and Culture. Because many of the tasks, functions and roles of the Minister of Research and Technology are carried out by BRIN. So the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research and Technology and the formation of the Ministry of Investment, “explained Ngabalin.
According to Ngabalin, President Jokowi will quickly decide on this cabinet reshuffle.
“From the habits that Bang Ali followed, it didn’t take long. The President is very independent, does not hesitate to make decisions. Usually fast. Bang Ali is sure that this week he will make important decisions, ”said Ngabalin.
