Jokowi wears traditional clothes at the annual session, Ma’ruf wears a suit

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo and vice President Ma’ruf Amin attend MPR Annual Session, at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday (14/8/2020) morning.

Ma’ruf arrived at the venue first wearing formal clothes, namely a suit. Meanwhile Jokowi looks different by wearing traditional clothes.

This year’s Head of State chose to wear traditional Sabu clothing, East Nusa Tenggara.

The trial agenda was carried out in two sessions. First, starting at 09.00 WIB and continued at 14.00 WIB.

After the introduction of the Annual Session from the Chair of the MPR, the event was continued with a Joint Session of the DPR and DPD and President Jokowi’s state speech.

This Annual Session is different from the previous one because it was held during the Covid-19 pandemic.

President Jokowi will only deliver two State Addresses. Meanwhile, at the previous Annual Session, the president delivered three speeches.

Meanwhile, President Jokowi has yet to reveal the theme of the speech to be read.
