President of the Biancorossa Solidarity and of the event committee Jokowi volunteer at the GBK, Silvester Matunina satirized the PDIP on his program which attracted criticism.
Silvester pointed to PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto’s statement that the event was only organized to please the president or if you are happy (ABS). Even if the event hurt the good name of the President.
In response to this, Silvester said that the United Nusantara event at GBK was held to please the people or as long as the people are happy (ARS).
He said the volunteers wanted to ask Jokowi for guidance so the change of leadership would happen properly.
“There are comments about ABS, right? Not ABS, but ARS. As long as people are happy. They miss meeting their leaders, let’s try to make an effort on the forum. That’s all,” Silvester said in his statement on Sunday (27/11).
Silvester pointed out that there was nothing to clarify regarding the event his party held at the GBK on Saturday (11/26). According to him, each party, including the general secretary of the PDIP, is free to give any interpretation on the event.
According to him, the event was organized by volunteers so that they could stay in touch with the president directly and not for personal gain.
“So obviously it’s not a personal wish, or from a few people. If we attended yesterday’s event, we must have experienced first-hand how the President’s energy meets his people,” he said.
“That’s where we asked for direction from the president so that the compass for the direction of the nation going forward is more focused and one command,” Silvester added.
The PDIP secretary general has previously criticized Jokowi’s volunteer scheme who held an event at the GBK. According to him, the event had immersed Jokowi in the president’s achievements.
Hasto said high-ranking Nusantara volunteers had bad intentions by organizing the event.
“It seems that the volunteer elite wants to take everything. If their wishes are not met, they threaten to disperse. But if they do, the elite does a lot of manipulation,” Hasto said.
