President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mentioned Pertamina and the State Electricity Company (PLN) has a complicated bureaucratic system that makes it difficult for those who want to invest.
He conveyed this in a briefing to the Commissioners and Directors of Pertamina and the State Electricity Company (PLN), last Tuesday (16/11).
“I see that actually the investments that want to go to Pertamina, to PLN are queuing up, and there are lots of them. However, the complexity is in our bureaucracy and also in our own SOEs,” said Jokowi.
He also admitted that he sometimes wanted to get angry because a number of programs or projects were handled slowly. So, he asked the commissioners and directors of Pertamina and PLN to make improvements.
“Then I’m a field person, I sometimes want to be angry about something I know, but it’s really difficult to do something. Something that is easy but difficult to do, why don’t you go for a walk. These positions must be continuously improved with professionalism, Mr. , mother, brother have,” said Jokowi.
Furthermore, Jokowi also mentioned that investment decisions may exist in companies, but the government also has strategies and plans to advance the country. Therefore, the interests of companies and the state must be able to go hand in hand.
So that all the risks and calculations in seeing the assignment are made to provide support to the government for the plans that are being built.
“So once I say, convey the risks, convey the consequences, convey the calculations, convey the calculations, in seeing each assignment to provide support to the government for the big plan we want to build,” said Jokowi.
According to Jokowi, the opportunity to invest in Pertamina and PLN is very wide open. And that’s exactly what he and the copyright laws want.
“If you want to open the door, too [terbuka] wide. That openness is what I want and the job copyright law wants,” he added.
