President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) amazed by the speed of racers in MotoGP Mandalika, Sunday (20/3). Even Jokowi looked down on his forehead at the speed of the racers.
In a video uploaded to President Joko Widodo’s official YouTube account, Jokowi is seen enthusiastically watching racers such as Fabio Quartararo, Jack Miller, and Alex Rins doing a warm up lap before the race.
Jokowi, accompanied by the first lady, Iriana, was seen applauding. Jokowi’s admiration grew even more after seeing the Mandalika MotoGP racers riding motorbikes at high speed on a straight track after the first lap was over.
Seeing a very fast motorbike passing on the start/finish straight line, Jokowi then patted his forehead and shook his head.
President Jokowi was the one who gave the Mandalika MotoGP champion trophy on the Mandalika Circuit podium after the race. The former governor of DKI Jakarta said he was satisfied with the Mandalika MotoGP, although he acknowledged that there were still things that needed to be addressed.
Jokowi also thanked all those who worked hard to make the Mandalika MotoGP possible.
“Yes, this is a big event of a very extraordinary motor sport and I would like to say a big thank you to the people of NTB Lombok who gave full support and also all the organizers and all workers who have worked day and night preparing this big event,” Jokowi said.
“Indeed, there are still things that need to be evaluated in the long term. Next year it will be corrected again if there are deficiencies. I want to congratulate everyone,” continued Jokowi.
