Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) gave directions to the Head of the Regional Police and TNI in Bali, Friday (3/12/2021). In his directive, Jokowi questioned the habits of the regional police chief until the new police chief visited the top officials of mass organizations who often caused trouble.
“I’ve wanted to say for a long time that there is a new police chief, there is a new police chief, and instead came to the elders of mass organizations who often make a fuss. Is this true?,” he said.
The atmosphere of the meeting was quiet. Jokowi then continued by revealing his dialogue with one of the police chiefs.
“I asked the police chief. Why are you doing this? So that the city is conducive. But is it the right way?,” Jokowi asked.
“Be careful not to pawn authority with sowan to lawbreakers. I have seen a lot of this. Brothers and sisters must have authority. Police must have authority,” he continued.
