Jokowi Signs the Dismissal of Lili Pintauli as KPK Leader

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo has signed a presidential decree (keppres) regarding the dismissal of the Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).KPK) Lily Pintauli Siregar as the head of the KPK.

The Special Staff of the Minister of State Secretary Faldo Maldini revealed that Lili had also sent a letter of resignation to Mr Jokowi.

“President Jokowi has received the resignation letter for Lili Pintauli Siregar. President Jokowi has signed the Presidential Decree on the Dismissal of LPS,” Faldo told reporters, Monday (11/7/2022).

Faldo said the issuance of the presidential decree was an administrative procedure required by the KPK Law.

As is known, Lili is in the spotlight for allegedly violating ethics related to the alleged receipt of hotel accommodation and tickets to watch the 2022 MotoGP in Mandalika from a state-owned company.

According to the plan, the KPK Supervisory Board will hold an ethics trial against Lili with the agenda of reading the verdict on Monday afternoon.
