The discourse about the head of the state capital authority (IKN) has emerged following the ratification of the IKN Law. President Jokowi revealed the criteria for a candidate for the leader of the capital city named Archipelago that.

Jokowi also talked about choosing the name Nusantara for IKN. He said the name was not immediately chosen because of his personal opinion, but also accommodated the aspirations of a number of parties.
Regarding IKN development, Jokowi said it would take a long time. At the very least, according to Jokowi, it will take 15-20 years to complete.
Regarding the possibility of IKN development being stopped by the next leader, Jokowi is not worried. He said the construction of IKN has become a law mandate, so it should not be stopped.
“And that has been agreed upon by eight factions in the DPR. This means that the majority vote of political forces in the DPR wants to move the country’s capital city,” said Jokowi.
