Seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia, Play Widodo responding to the results of a Kompas Research and Development study which said that the pair Ahmad Luthfi – Taj Yasin Maimoen was slightly lower than Andika Perkasa – Hendrar Prihadi alias Hendi.
Kompas Research and Development noted that Andika – Hendi, promoted by PDIP, achieved 28.8 percent viability. Just ahead of Luthfi – Yasin who is supported by the parties of the Progressive Coalition of Indonesia (KIM) Plus with a potential of eligibility of 28.1 percent.

The survey, which was carried out between 15-20 October 2024 and included a thousand people, also showed that the number of respondents who had not yet made their choice, or non-voters sure, still high, reaching 43.1 percent.

But according to Kompas Research and Development, 42.9 percent of respondents who had not yet made their choice said they were still waiting for the campaign period to end or for the regional election debate.
Then, 11.6 percent were still waiting for advice from people they trusted, 4.1 percent admitted they didn’t know the candidate’s background, and 2.1 percent admitted they didn’t know the vision and the mission of the candidate couple.
Jokowi is believed to have a strong influence on voter preferences in the 2024 regional elections at the same time, especially in the Central Java region.
Responding to this, Jokowi responded casually.
“Ah, that’s cooking,” said Jokowi.
On the other hand, Luthfi and Yasin dutifully met with Jokowi several times. They also welcomed Jokowi back to Solo after he left his position as President on October 20 last year. After that, Luthfi – Yasin met with Jokowi again in Solo at least twice.
“I am open to everything,” Jokowi said.
