Jakarta, CNNIndonesia —
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) opened his voice after summoning the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh to the State Palace, Thursday (26/1) afternoon.
“(The meeting) was normal. I just want to know (the contents of the meeting),” said Jokowi at Sarinah, Central Jakarta, Sunday (29/1).
Jokowi did not say in detail what the contents of the meeting were, including when asked whether the summons was related to the reshuffle issue.
The former mayor of Solo was also asked about the issue of a reshuffle or cabinet reshuffle. Remember, February 1 will coincide with Wednesday Pon, which is often Jokowi’s sacred day.
“Hmm, really? Wednesday Pon? Right? Yes, just wait,” said Jokowi briefly.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the NasDem DPP, Sugeng Suparwoto, said that the meeting between Surya Paloh and Jokowi was a missed meeting agenda, like the relationship between brothers and sisters.
According to him, the two figures did not communicate directly for about three months. So that the meeting became a relationship to build togetherness.
“About two o’clock (in the afternoon), Mr. Surya met with the president at the palace. Although it is unethical to dig up what the contents of the meeting and so on, I suspect that this is a way of building togetherness,” he said at Anies Baswedan’s pavilion, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Friday (27/1).
NasDem is still listed as one of the Jokowi government coalition parties to date.
However, lately the ministers from NasDem have been shaken by the issue of a cabinet reshuffle or reshuffle. This is because NasDem has declared Anies Baswedan as a 2024 presidential candidate. They are also exploring a coalition with Democrats and PKS.
