President Joko Widodo jokes (Jokowi) who was not invited to sing was expelled at the Indonesia Economic Outlook 2023 event. Jokowi he confided in his ministers who always address when there is a problem but he was never invited during fun events.
It started when Coordinating Minister for Economy Airlangga Hartarto joked about Finance Minister Sri Mulyani’s vote. Airlangga admitted that he could not distinguish between the voices of Sri Mulyani and the famous singer Rossa.
“Report Mr. President, Madam Finance Minister sang with Rossa yesterday, I can’t tell the difference sir,” Airlangga said at the Indonesia Economic Outlook 2023 event broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube account on Wednesday (21/12 /2022). Airlangga spoke first Jokowi to welcome.
Airlangga joked to a number of ministers present. Jokowi and Sri Mulyani laughed hearing Airlangga’s joke.
Afterwards, Airlangga greeted BI Governor Perry Warjiyo. Airlangga joked about coordinating the events of the Ministry of Economy and BI.
“Mr. Governor of BI, I am making a disclaimer Mr. President. This event was organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Economy, so the class is economy class sir, it is different from BI, it is business class or first class, sir,” said Airlangga.
Apparently, Jokowi hit back at Airlangga’s joke during his remarks. Jokowi initially spoke at length about the economic situation in Indonesia and around the world. At the end of his speech, Jokowi highlighted the importance of downstream and green energy.
“I said earlier downstream, green energy, that’s the key. Going forward, I’ve called for this downstream strategy to be done in a large ecosystem, what, backed by low-cost green energy. This will be a premium product that we’ll be in able to compete with other countries, other countries,” Jokowi said.
Jokowi said the key to green energy must be cheap. He said expensive green energy would amount to nothing.
He explained that downstream and green energy are Indonesia’s strengths, but they need to be supported by good implementation. It was only then that Jokowi spoke about the difficult things that were always addressed to him.
“The two things first, downstream and then supported by green energy. The difficulty is the implementation. But the headache is usually given to me,” said Jokowi.
However, Jokowi said, he had never been invited to any fun events. He pulled singing events that didn’t invite him.
“If it’s the problem, the problem, the ministers have to face me. But the good things, like yesterday, were singing, eating and eating, never inviting me,” Jokowi said to the laughter of the attendees present.
Of note, on Tuesday (12/20), Jokowi paid a working visit to East Java. Jokowi went to Nganjuk to inaugurate the Semantok Dam.
Meanwhile, in the evening, there was an appreciation of the successful Indonesian presidency of the G20 broadcast on the Indonesian economy YouTube account. The event was attended by Minister Coordinator of Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang, Governor of BI Perry Warjiyo.
In her remarks, Airlangga thanked all the guests who attended. He is also grateful that the G20 Summit has resulted in a number of agreements.
“I would like to thank all of you who attended the event of gratitude and appreciation that the G20 summit produced the Bali Declaration and also achieved consensus and compiled concrete results amidst the uncertainty of the world situation,” said Airlangga .
