FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) employees receive additional income. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) suddenly issued Presidential Regulation Number 18 of 2024 concerning Performance Allowances for Employees of the Secretariat General of the General Election Supervisory Agency.
The issuance of the Presidential Decree which is the basis for payment of performance allowances, aka tukin, for Bawaslu employees is only two days or H-2 before the simultaneous election voting on Thursday (14/2).
Performance allowances or tukin for Bawaslu employees are not the same. Data compiled from JDIH.Setneg.go.id, allowances for Bawaslu employees vary, starting from IDR 1,968,000 for position class 1 to IDR 29,085,000 for position class 17.
“Employees within the Secretariat General of the General Election Supervisory Agency, apart from being given income in accordance with statutory provisions, are given performance allowances every month,” reads the Presidential Decree issued by President Jokowi, quoted from the JDIH.Setneg.go.id page, Monday ( 12/2) p.m.
Performance allowances for employees within the Secretariat General of the General Election Supervisory Agency as intended in Article 3 are given from the time this Presidential Regulation comes into effect.
Previously, regarding the performance allowances for Bawaslu employees, President Jokowi also signed a similar Presidential Decree which was stipulated on December 15 2017. This regulation is contained in Presidential Regulation Number l22 of 2Ol7 concerning Performance Allowances for Employees within the Secretariat General of the General Election Supervisory Agency.
