Jokowi invites Jan Ethes-Manah Valley on an educational tour to Prambanan temple

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Ms. Iriana Joko Widodo spent the weekend on an educational tour at Prambanan Temple Tourism Park, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY). Jokowi invited his nephews Jan Ethes Srinarendra and La Lembah Manah.

According to information from the Presidential Secretariat, on Saturday (7/1/2023), Jokowi was also accompanied by his eldest son Gibran Rakabuming Raka and his wife Selvi Ananda. The educational tour for President Jokowi and his family this time was led by the head of the X Region Cultural Preservation Center Kemenristekdikbud Manggar Sari, who explained the history of Prambanan temple.

Throughout the tour, Jan Ethes seemed to pay attention to every explanation given by the tour guide regarding this world cultural heritage.

“This is the biggest one,” Manggar said as he pointed to the 47-meter-high Shiva temple.

Visitors seemed thrilled to see Jokowi and his nephew. They didn’t even expect to meet President Jokowi at this national tourist destination.

Prambanan temple is one of the national tourist destination which can be an alternative vacation for the community.

Previously, Jokowi he has never asked local government officials to promote domestic tourism. Because, Jokowi said, Indonesia is full of tourism potential.
