TEMPO.CO, Solo – President Joko Widodo or Jokowi carry out unannounced inspections to the Service Office Tax (KPP) Primary Solo, Thursday, March 9 2023.
During the inspection, Jokowi was accompanied by the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati and Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Pramono Anung, as well as officials at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).
One of Jokowi’s inspection agendas is to review taxpayers (WP) who are submitting their 2022 annual tax returns (SPT) at KPP Pratama Solo.
When visiting the KPP, Jokowi admitted that he was surprised because apparently there was still a queue of taxpayers who were going to submit their tax returns directly at the Primary KPP. Even though according to the head of state, taxpayers can report their tax returns online or online through e-filling.
“This afternoon I came directly to KPP Pratama Surakarta (Solo) to directly check the submission of the 2022 SPT, I was surprised because there were still many taxpayers lining up. We can fill it though e-filling at home online,” said Jokowi at KPP Pratama Solo, Thursday afternoon.
However, at the same time, Jokowi also explained further the reasons why the taxpayers continued to report their tax returns to each tax office. Because people want to ensure that the tax data that is filled in is correct.
“It turns out that the taxpayer really wants to make sure that what is filled out is correct. Some are not sure, bring it here, it’s true, then pay,” Jokowi said.
