Jokowi Inaugurates Bambang Susantono as Head of IKN Authority Tomorrow

President Joko Widodo reportedly inaugurated Bambang Susantono as Head of Authority The nation’s capital (IKN) on Thursday, (10/3). According to a source within the government, President Jokowi has agreed that Bambang Susantono will lead the nation’s capital city later.

“Yes, tomorrow (inauguration),” said the source, Wednesday (9/3).

So far, the source within the government has not disclosed the time for the inauguration of Bambang Susantono as Head of the IKN Authority.

CNNIndonesia.com has contacted Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung to confirm the news. But no one has responded yet.

Bambang Susantono is a former Deputy Minister of Transportation in the United Indonesia Cabinet II for the 2010-2014 period. He also served as Deputy to the Coordinating Minister for the Economy for the Coordination of Infrastructure and Regional Development in 2007-2010.

Bambang Susantono’s name has also become a topic of discussion as a candidate for the head of the new capital city authority. Moreover, he is also a non-party person. In accordance with the criteria desired by President Jokowi.

Previously, President Jokowi had said that the head of the IKN authority would not be a cadre of a political party. He also revealed that the background of the head of the authority is architect.
