President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met with the chairman of the PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri in the inauguration of the BPIP Steering Committee. PDIP elite Hendrawan Supratikno asked that there be no more debate about the relationship between the two figures.
“What is clear is that it should not be submitted as a matter of debate again,” said Hendrawan when confirmed, Tuesday (7/6/2022).
It is known that recently the relationship between Jokowi and Megawati assessed as stretched. Hendrawan was surprised that Jokowi and Megawati’s relationship was considered strained.
“It seems that there are parties who like it when we fight, don’t they? What political advantages do you imagine if we don’t get along?” said Hendrawan.
“Wouldn’t the political ecosystem be more stable and conducive if the communication between the characters went well? Why does conflict become best-selling news over the beauty of harmony?” he added.
Previously, President Jokowi officially inaugurated Yudian Wahyudi as the Head of BPIP for the 2022-2027 period. Meanwhile, the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri was re-appointed as the BPIP Steering Committee.
The inauguration of the Head of BPIP and the Steering Committee of BPIP was held at the State Palace, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (7/6). The inauguration was carried out by implementing strict health protocols.
The inauguration ceremony began with the singing of the anthem Indonesia Raya. After that, the event continued with the reading of the Presidential Decree regarding the Appointment of the Head of BPIP and the Steering Committee of BPIP.
