JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had directly fired an official of PT Pertamina (Persero). Luhut called the official “nonsense”.
Luhut revealed the story of the dismissal of an official who took this careless policy.
“A high-ranking Pertamina official was fired by the president directly yesterday,” said Luhut in the 2021 BPPT Technology Innovation Ecosystem Strengthening National Working Meeting which was broadcast via BPPT TV Youtube, Tuesday (9/3/2021).
Jokowi fired the official in connection with steps to import pipes for the Pertamina project. This is not in accordance with the regulations for the use of the domestic component level (TKDN).
“Making pipes, earlier was Pertamina. Pertamina is carelessly asking for mercy. It still imports pipes even though they can be made in Indonesia. How is that, “said Luhut.
