Jokowi Expects More Competitions Similar to Formula E

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) watched the Formula E event live in Ancol with a number of figures. Jokowi is grateful that the Formula E event went smoothly.

“Today, we are watching live or on television, the 2022 Jakarta E-Prix at the Formula E Circuit, Jakarta. Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly,” Jokowi said on his Instagram account, Saturday (4/6/2022).

Jokowi went up to the podium to give a trophy to the winner of Formula E in Ancol. The winner of the Ancol Formula E race is from New Zealand.

“Congratulations to the race winners, namely Mitch Evans, the Jaguar TS Racing team driver from New Zealand who took first place, also to Jean-Eric Vergne from France from the DS TECHEETAH team in second place, and Edoardo Mortara from Switzerland from the ROKiT Venturi team. Racing in third place,” he said.

According to Jokowi, Formula E racing is good for encouraging the electric vehicle ecosystem. Therefore, Jokowi hopes that there will be more racing events like Formula E in the future.

“This Formula E racing is a spectacle that will be increasingly popular in the future given the increasing number of electric car users. This racing event is also good for Indonesia, which will build an electric vehicle ecosystem,” said Jokowi.

“I hope that in the future there will be more competitions like Formula E,” he added.
