President Play Widodo (Jokowi) signed a presidential decree (keppres) regarding the dismissal of Heru Budi Hartono as the Acting Governor of Jakarta. Jokowi also simultaneously appointed Teguh Setyabudi to fill the post of Acting Governor of Jakarta.
It is known that the term of office of Heru Budi as Acting Governor of Jakarta ends today. Jokowi solemnly signed a presidential decree dismissing Heru Budi on 16 October 2024.
“President Jokowi has signed presidential decree No. 125P, dated October 16, 2024, regarding the Dismissal and Appointment of the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta,” said the Staff Coordinator President, Ari Dwipayana, to journalists, Thursday (17/10/2024).

In the presidential decree, Jokowi also appointed Teguh Setyabudi instead of Heru Budi. Teguh officially becomes the Acting Governor of Jakarta.
“In this presidential order, the President has respectfully dismissed Mr. Heru Budi Hartono as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta and appointed Mr. Teguh Setyabudi as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta,” he said.
Ari said Teguh was previously Director General of Dukcapil, Ministry of Home Affairs. At the same time, Heru Budi, said Ari, is now still the Head of the Presidential Secretariat.
“Yes. The Director General of Adminduk (Dukcapil Kemendagri). Mr. Heru is still the Head of the Presidential Secretariat,” he said.
