VIVA – President Joko Widodo dismissed the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19. Instead, the old Task Force merged with the task force (task force) that was just formed today.
Dissolution of the Task Force is contained in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 82 of 2020 concerning Co-19 Handling Committee and National Economic Recovery. The Presidential Regulation applies today or since the regulation was signed by President Jokowi. “The Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling of COVID-19 and the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling of the COVID-19 were dissolved,” the Perpres said.

In Article 20 the policy also states that it revokes Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 7 of 2020 as amended in Presidential Decree No. 9 of 2020 concerning Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19.
“The implementation of the tasks and functions of the Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force and the Regional Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force as referred to in paragraph (1), will then be carried out by the Policy Committee and / or the Covid-19 Handling Task Force / Covid-19 Handling Task Force. Like the Perpres, Doni Monardo remained in his position despite changing his name. Regarding the economy, he was assisted by Deputy Minister of BUMN Buni Gunadi Sadikin with Chief Executive of the Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir.
The team leader, called the task force’s policy committee, is chaired by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto.
