FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Political observer Ujang Komarudin analyzes that the General Chair (Ketum) of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh was not invited by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Only Surya Paloh was not invited as a coalition party supporting the government in the Ramadan friendship agenda at the PAN DPP office, on Sunday (3/4/2023).
According to Ujang, Nasdem was not invited because President Jokowi was no longer considered a friend of the coalition.
“I see that Nasdem is no longer considered in the government coalition by Jokowi,” Ujang said when contacted by Pojoksatu.id in Jakarta, Monday (3/4/2023).
The Al-Azhar University lecturer did not deny that this could not be separated from political sentiments regarding Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
Political observer from Al-Azhar University, Ujang Komarudin considered this to be a sign that Suya Paloh was no longer considered by President Jokowi.
It is considered that Surya Paloh’s political stance by the number one person in Indonesia is contradictory.
“I see it like that, NasDem is considered a supporter of Anies and has crossed paths with Jokowi,” he said.
Previously, Deputy General Chairperson of the NasDem Party Ahmad Ali suspected that his party was not invited to President Jokowi’s meeting with the general chairman of the party because he had formed a Coalition for Change supporting Anies Baswedan.
Ali said Jokowi’s meeting with the general chairman of the party was not a meeting of the Onward Indonesia Coalition. Therefore, NasDem was not invited.
Ali suspects that the meeting will be to form a grand coalition leading to 2024. According to him, there could be a fusion between the United Indonesia Coalition and the Great Indonesia Awakening Coalition.
