President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held a restricted meeting at the victim’s evacuation site earthquake Cianjur in Prawatasari Park, Cianjur Regency. In this sudden encounter, Jokowi he ordered his staff to open up an isolated area immediately.
“There are several areas that are still isolated, we are trying to open them up,” National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) head Suharyanto said in a written statement from the Press, Media and Information Office of the Presidential Secretariat on Tuesday. (22/11/2022).
“First, if you need to use helicopters, use helicopters. If you can’t use land, use helicopters,” Jokowi said.

Aside from that, Jokowi has instructed his staff to immediately repair the infrastructure of public facilities or the homes of affected residents earthquake. These efforts have been made after the situation is safe and calm.
“So when it’s calm, it’s over, start now (infrastructure repairs),” Jokowi added.
Meanwhile, regarding patients in hospitals, Jokowi has called for emergency care tents to also be built so they can accommodate victims.
“For emergencies, just add more tents,” Jokowi said.
“We are building an emergency hospital sir, army, in the courtyard of the pavilion. There are still many who are worried about being treated in the building,” West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said.
The meeting was attended by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy; Head of BNPB Suharyanto; Director of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Dwikorita Karnawati; and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
Also present were Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Dudung Abdurachman, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, Army Strategic Reserves Command Commander Lt.
