Jokowi Challenges Kapolda Vaccine 2X, Are the Police Ready?

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo inspects the Covid-19 vaccination process at Bhayangkara Field, National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Saturday (26/6/21) morning. This activity is to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Bhayangkara on July 1, 2021.

All Kapolda from 34 Provinces held this mass vaccination. The target is that there are more than 1 million people participating in the vaccination.

However, Jokowi does not seem satisfied. He challenged several Kapolda to increase the number of vaccinations so that herd immunity can be achieved more quickly.

“Folded 2x still able or not in the field?” said Jokowi to the East Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Drs Herry Rudolf Nahak, as broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat’s Youtube channel.

He asked the same question to several other Regional Police Chiefs, namely Central Java Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Ahmad Luthfi and North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General RZ Panca Putra. Herry Rudolf agreed, as did the other two Kapolda.

“Very capable, ready. Because many are waiting for the President (from) the community,” said Rudolf.

He revealed that the vaccination process was in collaboration with the Mulawarman Military Command VI, East Kalimantan Province, the Regency Government and the City Government to carry out mass vaccinations simultaneously in 10 districts and cities.

“The target of the National Police Headquarters given to us is 14,140 vaccines. Because the enthusiasm of the community is quite large, we get additional support from the Regency, City, Province so that the number becomes 16 thousand vaccines,” explained Rudolf
