/ world today news/ The great actor Joko Rosic has passed away. He died this evening in “Lozenets” hospital.
The head of the hospital Prof. Lyubomir Spasov confirmed the tragic news.
“Djoko Rosic died around 9 p.m. Tribute to his bright memory,” said the medic. “I express my sincerest condolences to his relatives and friends. He was one of the few men,” added the professor.
Specialists from the elite hospital made every effort to save the great actor, but his condition was extremely serious and hopeless.
For months, Rosich battled tumors in his head. At the end of January, he was operated on in “Pirogov”, and a few days ago he was transferred to “Lozenets” hospital. His condition has deteriorated in recent weeks. The bright moments in which he smiled and even gave interviews were gradually replaced by increasingly frequent periods of loss of consciousness.
He would have turned 82 on February 28.
