With “Joker” (USA 2019), directed by Todd Phillips, an unusual comic film adaptation about the creation of Batman’s arch-rivals was created, which grossed more than one billion worldwide with a budget of around 55 million dollars and starred not only composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, but also leading actor Joaquin Phoenix The fact that a sequel was announced was no big surprise – but the fact that the sequel will be partly a jukebox musical with co-star Lady Gaga was more of a surprise.Joker: Folie à Deux” (USA 2024) celebrated its world premiere this year at the Venice International Film Festival. On October 3, 2024, the crime drama, directed again by Todd Phillips, will be released in German cinemas by Warner Bros. Entertainment. According to initial dealer information, the film will be released Feature film next year to be distributed by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment on Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray in keep cases on the market.
