“JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean” gets an anime

As part of an online event, today announcedthat the sixth story arc of the manga series “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure”, which is entitled “Stone Ocean”, will receive an anime adaptation. You can see a first teaser below.

So far it is only known that the character Jolyne is spoken by Ai Fairouz (Hibiki in “How heavy are the dumbbells you lift?”). Further information, such as a start date or who will be involved in the production team, is currently pending.

“JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean”, also known as “Part 6”, like the previous “Parts”, was written by Hirohiko Araki, who wrote the story section between January 2000 and April 2003 in “Weekly Shonen Jump” magazine and in 17 volumes published by Shueisha.

The first »part« of the anime adaptation of »JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure« will be released by KAZÉ Anime on DVD and Blu-ray from May 6, 2021, while Crunchyroll offers all previous anime conversions with German subtitles on demand. The manga will be published by Manga Cult from August 2021.

Plot:

In 2011, Florida; Jolyne Cujoh, daughter of Jotaro, is wrongly accused of a crime she did not commit and sent to a maximum security prison. While imprisoned, she fights within a longstanding plot agreed between the dead villain DIO and the ideologist Enrico Pucci.
