Jojo Wins, Indonesia Beats Malaysia 3-0, Advances to the Semifinals!

Jonatan Christie defeat Ng Tze Yong 14-21, 21-19, 21-16 in the quarterfinals Thomas Cup 2020. Indonesia has a 3-0 lead over Malaysia and qualified for the semifinals!

Previously, two other Indonesian representatives had also won. Anthony Ginting beat Lee Zii Jia 21-15, 21-17 in singles and duets Kevin Sanjaya/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon overcame Malaysian doubles match, Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik, with a score of 21-17, 16-21, 21-15.

In the semifinals, Indonesia will wait for the winner of Denmark vs India. Until this news was revealed, the two were still competing, with the last score 2-1 in favor of the hosts. The semifinals will be held on Saturday (16/10/2021).
