Saturday night was the stage for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2022. There was no artist JoJo Siwa (18) invited, despite being nominated for the award for “Favorite social music star”, writes People.
The award did not go to the 18-year-old, who was beaten by TikTok star and artist Dixie D’Amelio (20). Miranda Cosgrove and Rob Gronkowski were the evening’s presenters.
– Many of you have asked me why I’m not at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards tonight, and the answer is simple: I was not invited. I do not know why, but I just did not get an invitation, Siwa says in a video on Instagram.
To the video, Siwa writes that she does not want anyone to think that she did not want to go to the award ceremony.
Confirms breach
It may seem that the 18-year-old thinks the situation was awkward. The next day she published a picture of herself on Instagram with the following text:
“Today is a GOOD day compared to yesterday.”
Nickelodeon has not yet commented on the case.
Criticized the channel
In September last year, the star went out on the TV channel Nickelodeon. Then she said that the channel prevented her from performing some songs from the 18-year-old’s DREAM tour.
