Joint Inspection by Kerala Police and Motor Vehicle Department Nets Impounded Two-Wheelers and Penalizes Violators

Thiruvananthapuram: 35 two-wheelers were impounded in a joint inspection conducted by the Kerala Police and the Motor Vehicle Department with an aim to prevent stunting, over-speeding and modification of two-wheelers. A case has been registered against seven people. Action was taken to cancel the license of 30 people. 3,59,250 was levied as penalty.

According to the instructions of IGG Spurgeon Kumar, who is in charge of traffic, the Traffic and Road Safety Cell conducted an inspection on various social media platforms and found the violators. The third phase of Operation Bike Stunt was implemented by collecting the addresses of those who changed the appearance of the vehicle and posted the footage on the new media.

South Zone Traffic SP Johnson Charles, North Zone Traffic SP Harish Chandra Naik, District Traffic Nodal Officers and Motor Vehicle Department officials led the operation.
