Joining Training and Education, Erick Sahly Becomes an Honorary Member of Banser

Erick Thohir attended the entire Banser Training and Education series

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir officially became a member of the Multipurpose Ansor Front (Banser) after successfully participating in the entire series of basic education and training (Diklatsar) as a condition to become a member of the Banser in

Jagakarsa Citra Alam School, South Jakarta, Sunday (28/11). The head of the National Coordination Unit (Kasatkornas) for the Multipurpose Ansor Front (Banser), Hasan Basri Sagala, who acted as the ceremonial supervisor inaugurated Erick as a member of the Banser.

Not unlike the other candidates for Banser members, Erick also underwent a number of tests that were quite tough to become a Banser member, starting from squatting and crawling, looking for beret, to shouting yells.

The former Inter Milan president looked so excited and didn’t want to lose to dozens of other Banser candidates.

“This is an extraordinary honor that is infinite for me because I can become a big Banser family,” said Erick during the Refreshment and Retrieval of the Jakarta Banser at the Citra Alam Jagakarsa School, South Jakarta, Sunday (28/11).

Erick said Banser had been committed to jihad for the Republic of Indonesia. Erick said that Banser also highly respects diversity and differences which are strengths for Indonesia.

“With our diversity, with our differences, that’s our strength. Even it goes into our blood. We have to make sure that the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is a fixed price,” said Erick.

Erick admitted that he often discussed with Banser’s extended family in an effort to improve and maintain the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia in the future.

For Erick, efforts to maintain and advance Indonesia are noble goals and are useful for future generations.

“God willing, I will donate my mind, my energy, my ability to the truth for the welfare of society,” he said.

Erick said Indonesia is currently still facing challenges due to the pandemic, both in the health and economic sectors.

Erick called gotong-rotong and collaboration to be the nation’s strength in coming out of the pandemic and being able to be a winning nation in the future.

“Therefore, we continue to work on how people in general get the opportunity to advance to class, not only economically, but also to advance to class as a unified nation because that is the Indonesia we know,” said Erick.
