The Venezuelan NGO Súmate reported this Saturday on a decrease in the number of registered voters in the country and recalled that it is the duty of the National Electoral Council (CNE) to guarantee the Electoral Registry (RE) inside and outside the territory.
In its Twitter account, the organization explained that, “according to statistical tables of the last six cuts of the Electoral Registry (…), there is a decrease in the number of voters inside and outside the country.”
In this regard, he assured that this decrease indicates that “the CNE has not guaranteed that (the RE) is continuous or efficient.”
According to the data shown by Súmate, by July 15, 2021 there were a total of 21,267,813 registered in the official data of the CNE, while the last cut of the electoral entity, as of September 30, 2022, shows a total of 21,094,629 registered.
