As part of the “A Matter of Honor for Nature” project of the National Natural Landscapes, a landscape conservation day will take place in Oberried (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district) on Saturday, October 7th. The campaign is organized by the Black Forest biosphere area together with the municipality of Oberried and the landscape conservation association of the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district. All interested citizens can take part.
The helpers will remove trees on a species-rich pasture area above Oberried in order to promote rare, light-loving animal and plant species. The so-called broom pasture will then – as before – be grazed in a nature conservation-friendly manner in order to sustainably maintain and preserve the habitat worth protecting.
The meeting point is at 9.30 a.m. at the Kirnermarteshof (next to the Campinglatz), Vörlinsbachstraße 22, 79254 Oberried. Anyone arriving by public transport will be picked up at the Sternen/Post stop at 9.06 a.m. (bus from Kirchzarten). After the welcome, you drive together to the care area. Depending on the weather, work is scheduled to be completed by 2 p.m. at the latest. Afterwards there will be a convivial snack for everyone.
Participants are asked to bring gloves and their own tools such as small saws or pruning shears. Sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing are important. Equipment can also be made available to a small extent.
To organize the care day, interested parties are asked to register by email by October 4th: [email protected]. If the weather is very bad, the event will not take place.
