Platelet reserves are impossible to build up in advance: this product, made from blood donations, is vital for the sick or injured in a haemorrhagic situation, but it has a lifespan of only 7 days.
To go to a donation site, alone, with friends or family, simply make an appointment on dondesang.efs.sante.fr or the Blood Donation app. You will find all the information on donations and collection locations, as well as a questionnaire to see if you can donate. The main conditions for donating: be between 18 and 70 years old and weigh at least 50 kg and bring proof of identity.
