- The days of attention, information and awareness will be held from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. in the Social Building located in the Santa Mónica neighborhood, and on Friday at the covered court in the Santiago Londoño neighborhood starting at 8:00 a.m.
In order to promote the importance of insurance, the obligations and responsibilities of the different actors in the health system, the “Empresa de Todos” through the Ministry of Health and Social Security will celebrate the Week of the Social Security 2023.
This celebration will take place from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. at the Health Unit facilities located in the Social Building (Carrera 19 #17-20 Santa Mónica neighborhood) and on Friday in the indoor court of the Santiago Londoño neighborhood in Commune 2 from 8:00 am
“We invite the general public to participate in the attention and information days regarding affiliation to the Subsidized Health Regime by our Insurance area and the Sisbén socio-economic survey. Likewise, of the preventive activities of Breast and Cervical Cancer, the socialization of the mental health care routes, prevention of suicide and consumption of psychoactive substances, and advice on certification of the population in a condition of disability ”, indicated the secretary of municipal Health and Social Security, Bibiana Romero Olarte.
In the same way, the attention of Migration Colombia, the International Organization for Migration – IOM, UNHCR, Opción Legal and Fundación CARE will be available, and in coordination with the EPS located in the municipality, procedures will be carried out, data updating and addressing for affiliates with the network and the provision of health services.
The official added that “With the purpose of bringing the services of the Ministry of Health closer to the community, we will arrive with our strategy ‘HEALTH DAY in YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD’ to the indoor court of the Santiago Londoño neighborhood from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, where we will provide vaccination to children under 13 years of age, Human Papilloma Virus for girls and adolescents between 9 and 17 years of age, Tetanus for women of childbearing age, affiliation to the Subsidized Regime, food handling course, anti-rabies vaccination for dogs and cats, control mosquito larvae and other services”.
