Comedian Sunarji aka Narii expressed his apologies and regret that he had supported the General’s decision Sitting Abdurachman, Pangdam Jayakarta at that time, brought order billboard picture of former FPI Imam, Rizieq Shihab after his return at the end of 2020.
The apology was conveyed by Narji, as he is familiarly called, after officially joining the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS). Together with a number of artists from the capital at that time, Narji admitted that he had no intention of hurting the feelings of Muslims through the support for controlling Rizieq’s billboards by the Jaya Regional Military Command.
“I hope people will forgive. How can people not forgive me. My wife only forgives me, who has a look like this,” he told CNNIndonesia.com, when confirmed, Tuesday (4/1).
At PKS, he admitted that he was ready to follow all the coaching processes. He admitted that he also did not hesitate to help the party’s activities in the community. Narji admits it is a consequence of joining the party.
Furthermore, he said that PKS is like a pesantren. All cadres must be trained regularly.
“I want to learn a lot of things at PKS. This party is like a boarding school, all its cadres are regularly educated and nurtured. And I declare that I am ready to participate in all of these activities,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chair of the DPR PKS Faction, Mulyanto, supported Narji’s apology and statement regarding support for Dudung. He hopes that the public will forgive the comedian who is popular through the Cagur group.
Mulyanto understands that, as a comedian, Narji doesn’t really understand the flexible way of politics. So that in the future, he said, Narji would routinely study polite politics with PKS clerics.
Narji officially joined PKS last Sunday (19/12). The membership card was handed over directly by the PKS President, Achmad Syaikhu.
“In the future he will learn a lot about polite politics from PKS and its ustadz. We are touched and proud to hear that,” said Mulyanto.
