    • Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field, or relevant experience/training in project/event management. Agency experience would be an asset.
    • Over four (4) years of experience in event planning or project management in a similar role, ideally in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related industry.

    • Bilingualism: Proficiency in written and spoken French and English.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software and communication tools such as PowerPoint and Excel.

      Job Summary: Senior Advisor, Event Marketing & Communications

      The Senior Advisor, Event Marketing & Communications will play an active role in the management, launch, and execution of internal and external events at McKesson Canada. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Event Marketing & Communications, the candidate will support the needs of the company and its various business units. The ideal candidate should be an expert in event and project management, demonstrate creativity, possess strong organizational skills, excel in customer service, and be able to multitask effectively.

      Specific Responsibilities:

      – Lead, manage, and execute the planning of multiple significant events throughout the year for McKesson Canada. These events include multi-day conferences for retail pharmacy owners and employees, manufacturers, customers, as well as McKesson executives and employees.
      – Work strategically with business unit leaders to achieve the goals and objectives of all events. This involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders such as the BDCP communication and events team, as well as procurement and purchasing teams, and the senior management team.
      – Partner with internal teams on employee campaigns as needed.
      – Act as an advisor for employee-related events such as barbecues, parties, or larger events organized by various business units.
      – Manage McKesson Canada’s event email inbox.
      – Manage event planning timelines and provide comprehensive updates to internal teams on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
      – Manage program budgets, cost control, final budget reconciliation, and negotiations of multiple contracts related to event organization and planning.
      – Collaborate with the procurement team and external vendors to research, negotiate, and coordinate to ensure successful procurement and budgeting for each event.
      – Plan, develop, and distribute logistical communications for each event as needed.
      – Manage brand image compliance for event development and use of themes.
      – Maximize the impact of assigned events by measuring participant satisfaction and adjusting strategies as needed.
