“Johor Bahru Sex Party Investigation Launched by Islamic Authority”

A poster inviting people to attend sex party in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, widely circulated on social media. The Johor Islamic Authority launched a further investigation into the poster.

As reported Channel News AsiaWednesday (24/5/2023), a poster circulating widely on social media Facebook and Twitter states that a sex party will be held in the area Johor Bahru on June 20, between 16.00 and 21.00 local time.

The poster also provides detailed information about the requirements for participants who are interested in joining the sex party. It said the event was open to people of all races who were ‘disease free and drug free’.

In a statement via Facebook on Tuesday (23/5) local time, Johor Islamic Religious Affairs Commission Chairman Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid warned that he would not allow such “immoral activity” to take place in the state.

“Don’t try to misbehave in Johor… persuade people to openly commit crimes and immoral acts,” he stressed.

“I have directed the Johor Islamic Authority to investigate and take immediate action,” Mohd Fared said in a statement.

Local media reports The Star who quoted Mohd Fared said the Johor Islamic Authority was investigating the case.
