One of Boris Johnson’s former advisers, Dominic Cummings, makes strong allegations against the British Prime Minister.

Cummings said in a hearing in the British Parliament, according to Sky News, that Johnson proposed to inject covid-19 on live TV – to prove that it was not dangerous.

The adviser talks about February last year:

– In February, Boris Johnson thought it was just a scare story, he thought it was the new swine flu.

He claims to have a message in which Johnson writes: “I’m going to get Chris Whitty to inject me with it on live TV.” Whitty is a British doctor and epidemiologist.

Johnson has not commented on those allegations.

– Regrets bitterly

Cummings believes that the government has failed to deal with the pandemic, and that the lockdown in March 2020 was postponed because there was no plan for it.

– We should close down on March 1 at the latest. I personally regret bitterly that we did not do it until March 11 or 12, says Cummings.

During the hearing, Cummings said the government believed the population would not accept a new lockdown, or systems to track infection.

“Both were obviously completely wrong,” Cummings said.

He claims he warned of the dangers of not imposing a new shutdown.

Conflict-filled relationship

Over time, there has been a conflict between Johnson and Cummings:

It attracted attention when Cummings, who was fired as the prime minister’s closest adviser in November last year, claimed in April that Boris Johnson should have said that he would rather see “the bodies pile up” than introducing a “lockdown” in the UK. This he himself has rejected.

During Wednesday’s hearing in parliament, Cummings denies that his title was chief adviser, but that he was an assistant to the prime minister.

Boris Johnson himself became so ill from covid-19 in April 2020 that he had to receive intensive care.

The journalist behind the biography “Just Boris” then said that this had to be a shock to Johnson.

– His view of the world is that disease is for weak people, the journalist said.

The case is being updated.
