London.- The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, faces his first electoral test on May 5 since the scandal of the parties held at his Downing Street residence dDuring the pandemic, when millions of citizens go to the polls to vote in the local elections that take place in Great Britain.
The three British regions -England, Wales and Scotland- are holding local elections this Thursday that will allow know the level of support enjoyed by the parties, while in Northern Ireland there will be elections for the autonomous Assembly of the province.
In this appointment, which in practice is a bipartisan dispute -between Conservatives and Labor-, 4,360 councilor positions are up for grabs in 146 English councils, out of a total of 333, while all 32 in Scotland and 22 in Wales are up for renewal.

There will be an election in Londons in the 32 councils that make up the British capital, but there will be no elections for elect mayor of the city, which is in the hands of Labor Sadiq Khan.
Municipalities have, among other things, the responsibility of collecting garbage, manage libraries, fund care for the elderly and disabled, and facilitate authorizations for the extension of dwellings.

POLLS POINT TO A BACKWARDS OF THE CONSERVATIVES
Since obtaining an absolute majority in the 2019 British generals, Johnson had not submitted to the opinion of the voters, but this time the polls indicate that the Prime Minister’s Conservatives may back down, although most of the positions in contention are already in the hands of Labor.
This election date is also the first since the conflict broke out in Ukraine at the end of February and the cost of living skyrocketed due to the sharp increase in energy prices, with year-on-year inflation that has already climbed to 7%.
The Government arrives at these elections affected, in addition, by scandals such as that of the conservative deputy Neil Parishaccused of watching porn on his mobile in parliamentary sessions, and false anonymous accusations by “Tory” politicians against Labor’s “number two”, Angela Rayner, who they said crosses and uncrosses her legs in Parliament to distract Johnson.
