The British prime minister could be forced to resign if it is confirmed that he called parties during the pandemic.
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, begins a decisive week for his political future, as the long-awaited report on “Partygate” will be released, the scandal about the parties at the official Downing Street residence during the pandemic that has the president in one of its strongest crises.
The official Sue Gray hopes to announce in the coming days the conclusions of her investigation into these social gatherings that have outraged British society to the point of shaking Boris’ position in the Government.

According to local newspapers, Gray has decided to extend his investigation to alleged parties held in the private apartment that Johnson shares with his wife, Carrie Johnson, in Downing Street, at the end of 2020, when there was still confinement.

Visits from a friend
Sue Gray has apparently received evidence that two friends of Carrie Johnson, identified as Henry Newman and Josh Grimstone, visited the couple’s flat on several occasions during the lockdown and that there was a party on November 13, 2020.
Despite the fact that Boric and his work team have been responsible for ensuring that they were “work meetings”, on at least fourteen occasions between 2020 and 2021 leaks of images, videos and emails to the press confirm what Boric Johnson has tried to deny at all costs: that there were parties in which he and his guests shared liquor and food until dawn.
The “Partygate” has infuriated the political world, both conservative and opposition MPs, as well as the population, as they do not admit that their own leader has breached the strict confinement rules he helped promote.
Thus, some conservative deputies have revealed that they are willing to send letters to the 1922 Committee, which brings together “Tories” parliamentarians without portfolio, to request an internal process that decides whether or not Johnson continues to lead the formation and the Executive .
The aforementioned committee must receive 54 letters from the deputies so that the internal process can move forward, so Boris Johnson’s mandate will remain in suspense
