Johnson expressed hope for a quick return of Ukrainians to normal life

Johnson also said he would redouble efforts to provide Ukraine with food and humanitarian aid.

During a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Johnson spoke of a blockade of the key port city of Odessa. The prime minister said he would work to lift the blockade. After that, Ukraine will be able to export goods to the rest of the world.

The leaders agreed on the need for the international community to remain united in its condemnation of Putin’s barbarism.

In Johnson’s view, it was the duty of every country to help Ukraine in its fight for freedom, both now and in the long term. He repeated that the British people 1000% support the people of Ukraine.
