Paulus Plate, father of the Minister of Communication and Information Johnny G Plate, died in Reo, Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara. The Director General of Information and Public Communication of Kominfo, Usman Kansong, confirmed the sad news.
“That’s right,” Usman said BetweenSaturday (25/3/2023).
However, Usman said that he had not received further information regarding the cause of death and plans for his funeral.
“I haven’t received any information yet. The Minister’s father is elderly. I also haven’t received information on the funeral,” he said.
The sad news of the death of the Minister of Communication and Information’s father was first known through a chain message received on Saturday afternoon.
Paulus Plate is an orderly or health nurse. Together with his wife, the late Theresia Pora, who was an elementary school teacher, Paulus devoted himself to the people of Manggarai Regency in the Mandosawu Mountains area.
Paul’s devotion to his wife was immortalized by the establishment of the Theresia Pora Plate Foundation.
