“Five”… A self-portrait drawn by Johnny Depp, “A Hard Time,” is for sale
A British retail group of paintings offered a self-portrait drawn by the famous Hollywood star Johnny Depp of himself and his portrayal when he was fighting a legal battle related to his previous marriage to actress Amber Heard, according to Reuters.
Work on the painting called “Five” began in 2021 in the studio of the British painter Ralph Steadman, and was completed this year.
“This self-portrait was drawn at a time that was a little difficult, a little confusing,” Depp said in a video clip.
“I looked at her and I don’t know why she felt like she needed something else,” he added. She needed more information… I just wrote a five on it because I was about to enter the fifth year of madness.’
Depp met Heard on the set of a movie and they married in 2015. The actress filed for divorce just over a year later.
Their stormy relationship was revealed through two trials.

Last year, a US jury awarded Depp an almost complete victory in his defamation battle with his ex-wife, who accused him of abusing her. Depp denied hitting Heard or any other woman.
Depp said that the “five” painting was inspired by a photo taken of him in 2015, when he became the face of a men’s perfume from “Dior”.
And Depp pointed out in the clip that “all the time, as painful as it was, (Dior) stuck to its conviction and it was unbelievable.”
Depp’s painting joins his “Friends and Heroes” collection, which depicts celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor, Al Pacino, Bob Dylan and Keith Richards, which was sold through Castle Fine Art, a British retail group of art galleries.
A copy of the self-portrait can be obtained at a price of $ 1,950, and it is a time-limited edition, as it will be available for sale for only 13 days. Depp said $200 of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to Mental Health America, a mental health nonprofit.
