Actor Brian Cox maybe you know from the movie X-Men 2 and recently he has had great successes with the HBO drama series Succession. In his new book he judges harshly about Johnny Depp.
According to Cox, Depp is quite overvalued. According to GQ, Cox writes in his book Putting the Rabbit in the Hat that Depp can’t actually act as well as people think.
Johnny Depp can’t do anything
“Pirates of the Caribbean, it really is a ‘Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow’ show. Depp, and whole personality that I like to lie, is so overdone, so overrated,” judges Cox in his book.
“I mean, Edward Scissorhands. Let’s face it, if you show up with hands like that and pale, scarred makeup, you don’t have to do anything. He doesn’t. He’s done even less after that.”
And somehow Cox might be right too. In many roles, Depp is often under a whole layer of make-up and wears elaborate costumes. What do you say? Is Cox right, or do you think Depp is a winner?
