Johnny Depp is still trying to deal with the reputational damage he suffered after his lost trial against the British newspaper The Sun to recover.

During the lawsuit, Depp’s ex, actress Amber Heard (35), testified against the actor. Depp is now trying to question her credibility following a similar lawsuit he filed against a newspaper in the US.
That magazine also published an incriminating article against him. He was accused of domestic violence towards his ex-wife and that cost him his role as Jack Sparrow in the new Pirates of the Caribbean. Depp wants to patch up his reputation and immediately his acting career, and that is only possible if the American judge considers Amber Heard to be unreliable. Depp wants to ensure that by already showing the British court that Heard lied.
She may have done so over a donation of six million that she allegedly made to a good cause. Whether this is true is not (yet) clear. The British court has now authorized Depp to collect evidence for it.
