Johnny de Mol finds the end of ‘his’ talk show HLF8 extra sour because of everything he and the editors have been through. He said that on Sunday Humberto On Sunday.
“We’ve been through a lot together and that you have to stop is extra sour.” He refers to the corona pandemic and the temporary suspension of his work due to allegations of misconduct against him.
“I think I was the first to cancel myself,” he told Humberto Tan. According to him, the allegations had a lot of influence on his life, family and how he looked at life.
HLF8 can be seen on SBS6 and has to stop due to low viewing figures. “We all know that this world revolves around viewing figures,” said De Mol. They have increased in recent months. “But unfortunately the advance was just too late.”
The talk show was first seen on television in the summer of 2021. De Mol presented the program alone and Hélène Hendriks was the permanent substitute. At the end of April last year, De Mol resigned from his work at the talk show due to the allegations of misconduct.
Hendriks and Leonie ter Braak then took over the presentation. Sam Hagens has taken over since this year and De Mol returned for one evening a week.
